Actual Size is an artist run space that engages the public to transform relationships between the viewer, curator, bystander and creator. The gallery collaborates with emerging, established and mid career artists nationally and internationally. Curate, organize, promote and host exhibitions and events within the gallery. Apply for and supply small grants to artists and work with them to support their vision. Write press releases and give interviews to promote the gallery and exhibiting artists. Lead tours for middle-school students through the Ancient World and Maya exhibitions. Employ object-based, inquiry-driven, participant-focused teaching strategies. Evaluate myself and other teachers as well as program goals. Participate in extensive in-service training on object-based learning in an encyclopedic collection. Teach in the LAUSD classroom to facilitate hands on observation of ancient artifacts from LACMA’s collection.

Fowler Museum at UCLA; Los Angeles, CA

May 2012- 2016

Design and implement cross-disciplinary educational programs, teacher workshops, gallery tours, and family festivals. Recruit, train and oversee team of part time student educators and provide inquiry-driven, object-based tours for over 10,000 K-12 students a year. Collaborate in grant writing with museum-wide team. Plan and evaluate programming. Conduct outreach to guest artists, educators and performers. Organize family days to serve over 2,500 guests annually. Write teacher curricula and design education material. Connect with professors, teachers, and community leaders to integrate Fowler exhibitions into their curriculum. Guide groups of scholars through the museum. Organize, market, and facilitate two week summer camp. Liaise with other cultural partners (e.g.- Getty Museum, Jewish Federation, Meridian and United Arab Emirates) to plan collaborative events including projecting and reporting on budgets. Recognized in Los Angeles Magazine Best of LA 2015 issue for Kids’ Programming.


Bardejov Holocaust Memorial Project, Bardejov, Slovakia

Winters 2011- 2012

Document international gathering of survivors and families and their march to mark the 70 the anniversary of the first deportation of Jews by the Nazis. Document civic negotiations, restored cemetery, progress in preserving historic architecture and the creation of civic memorials. Photographs published internationally.


Corita Art Center; Hollywood, CA

March 2008- 2012

Create and initiate educational programs and events to share Corita Kent’s artistic legacy and message. Develop gallery guide. Oversee individual projects of summer Getty interns. Curate displays for center as well as for traveling exhibitions. Archive and price art work and publication material. Compile condition reports. Assemble portfolios of artwork. Coordinate with galleries and collectors. Process new acquisitions and sales.


Le Lycée Francais/ Barnsdall Arts Center; Los Angeles, CA

September 2009- 2011

Teach one hour lessons in the classroom. Topics range from modern to ancient art. Collaborate with a teaching team to create a cohesive curriculum. Develop lesson plans, prepare projects, purchase materials, and organize student art exhibitions.

Organize artists and supervise volunteers to attend to the needs of over 2,000 patrons. Manage ticket sales. Coordinate with large camp and school groups. Trouble-shoot tricky situations with patrons employing customer relation skills and on the spot decision-making.

Organized, coordinated and implemented one hour a week sessions in expressive arts therapy for children at the Astor Home.


Women’s Care Cottage


Developed course on photography geared at homeless women and their children. Created and implemented lesson plan.
